This bridge, known as Devil's Bridge, is a 17th- or 18th-century packhorse bridge. It's at Horrace, on the road from Lindal Moor to Lowick Bridge, and was part of the road network that predated the creation of toll roads, such as the Kendal to Ireleth Turnpike, which was created in 1763. |
