Nose-Cone Art

These 8 pictures of Liberator Nose-Cose Art were taken in the Pacific Theatre by my Grandfather, Alex Rice, between 1939-45. "The Rip Snorter" is my favourite. The large one underneath is the C.O.'s Vultee Vengeance from 12 Squadron RAAF, 1943-44. The artwork a little faint in the pic but is a fattish devil with a toothy grin wearing a three-pointed crown, carrying a suitcase with "Ye Boss" painted on it and holding a bomb ready to drop in his left hand. Drop me a line if you know anything about these planes, I'd be interested to hear! oshea@hunterlink.net.au
